About St George

St George Aged Care Centre was purpose built in 1971 as an 80 bed Nursing Home. The Centre has been owned by the same family since its opening and is managed by a dedicated team of registered, specialist and personal care nursing staff and therapists, some of whom have worked at St George Aged Care for many years. Our Residents are cared for within a supportive environment where the care culture focuses on the individual and better lifestyle choices. Our Resident's families are also provided with support and are always made to feel welcome when visiting the Centre.

In 2005, a major expansion and upgrade program began with the construction of a Low Care wing that provides single room accommodation for 15 residents. The older section has been remodeled by downsizing the old 5 & 6 bed wards to a more comfortable arrangement featuring mostly two bed rooms.

The original building has been extensively upgraded with the addition of a brand new, state of the art kitchen, a new laundry, new entertaining areas for our Residents plus on-site parking for visitors.

Our Residents now have the benefit of a dedicated physiotherapy room and hairdressing salon.

St George Aged Care Centre has an excellent record of compliance with the Aged Care Standard and Accreditation Agency.
